THE HOTEL AS (Ace) started working in 1999, building on the tradition of the restaurant of the same name that has been in existence for thirty years.
This newly-built facility is located in the lovely wooded and park area of Zelengaj, at the address Zelengaj 2, in the very green belt of Zagreb city centre. In spite of its calm and peaceful surrounds, all the essential venues of the city and its cultural and historical features of interest are within easy reach of the hotel.
The hotel has all the appropriate ancillary facilities, such as restaurant, café-bar, a large summer garden, a parking lot and a conference room; and the 20 deluxe air conditioned rooms and three suites - two junior suites and one business suite - are an experience of their own.
The rooms are all very large (from 30 to 64 square metres) and are appointed with elegant antique furniture, such as for example Biedermeier and Ermitage, and the high quality of service and the courteous and highly professional staff are another reason why most tourists and business people on transit through Zagreb choose the HOTEL AS as their destination.
All the rooms and suites are air-conditioned and equipped with opulent reproduction and antique furniture and are in all other ways excellently appointed; safe, mini-bar, Internet connection, direct telephone line and voice mail, satellite TV and hair drier. The rooms and suites vary in size from 30 to 64 square metres.
In the Restaurant AS we provide exceptional culinary pleasures, and with our thirty years of tradition and the freshness of our seafood we have scaled the peak of the Zagreb and Croatian restaurant business.
The restaurant has received many valuable awards and commendations, and on the occasion of the celebrations of the ninth centenary of the city of Zagreb it was proclaimed the best seafood restaurant of the Croatian metropolis.
Although the restaurant primarily offers its guests select and high quality fish specialities, this luxurious haven of the epicure can also boast rich fare based on meats.
Since a fine glass of wine must needs accompany excellent food, we have a wine list that will satisfy the most demanding diner, providing all the top wines of Croatian wineries and a selection of other wines from all parts of the world.
For guests who prefer intimate suppers or dining in an exclusive circle of friends, the restaurant has its own VIP Room, as well as a gorgeous garden all in greenery and flowers just right for relaxation and entertainment in a pleasant atmosphere.The restaurant can seat 100, in the interior of the hotel, while there are seats for 100 more in the summer garden.
Also in the hotel is the AS CAFE BAR, which can provide all kinds of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, champagne, and visitors can also enjoy excellent home-made cakes and various kinds of ice cream sundaes.
The hotel can host weddings and various receptions for up to 140 people, and for such events we have a conference room, as well as a number of smaller VIP Rooms for business lunches, dinners and other events. We also organise conferences and meetings for small and large groups of guests.
