Hotel Wellington was built in 1938, and was designed by Ernst Grönwall. It was originally a residential building - the planning permit are the words "for hire to single persons, no families". It was built with 4 single and 2 double rooms on each floor, and a bakery and cake shop on the ground floor. There was once a glove shop where the Reception stands today. The property was renovated and converted into a hotel in 1967, and the Duke of Wellington was granted the honour of watching over our guests.
