The Nobel Suite The Nobel Suite was created in the mid-1990s when the Grand Hôtel made a series of renovations. It was in connection with this work that the old flag loft was converted to create two new suites, of which this is one. The Nobel Suite, in other words, is at the top of the building, on the seventh floor. It offers a fantastic panoramic view over Stockholm and the harbour, Old Town and the Royal Palace. The bedroom is large (the beds are 90 cm wide) and the spacious sitting-room has a desk as well as a seating group, TV and CD player. The Nobel Suite is decorated in a modern style but has many antique details. Paintings of Alfred Nobel and his family, a copy of his will and pictures of all Nobel Laureates since 1997 hang on the walls. The Nobel Laureates and their families always stay at the Grand Hôtel in connection with the awards ceremony in December each year. You can read more about the Nobel Prize and the Grand Hôtel by clicking on History. The Nobel Suite is 85 sqm in size and hired together with the Flag Suite next door it is 195 sqm in size. The Nobel Suite has a bathroom with steam room, jacuzzi and two separate toilets.
The Flag suite The Flag Suite could be called the crown jewel of the hotel. Like the Nobel Suite, it was created in the mid-1990s in connection with a major refurbishment of the hotel's top floors. From its perch at the summit of the hotel the Flag Suite offers a fantastic view over the city and the entrance to Stockholm from the sea. Probably the most spectacular place in the whole Grand Hôtel is the little turret room at the top of the building, which is accessed through a spiral staircase in the Flag Suite. The turret is the highest point in the hotel. It is a delightful outlook tower with space enough for two people. The Flag Suite also has an exciting bathroom with a jacuzzi in the centre. A glass cupola above the jacuzzi lets in light and offers a view of the starry sky after dark. The bathroom also has a small steam room, and there are two separate toilets in the suite. The beds in the bedroom are 90 cm wide. There are several seating groups (one in the sitting-room), as well as a separate conference room that can be used as a dining-room. The Flag Suite is 110 sqm in size and hired together with the Nobel Suit next doors it is 195 sqm in size.
Suites with Parlours The Grand Hôtel also offers a number of larger suites with up to five rooms. The drawing rooms of these suites are called Parlours. One of these suites is the Bernadotte Suite, which was decorated by Sigvard Bernadotte, the uncle of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. The Bernadotte Suite has three rooms - a single and a double bedroom and a salon. The salon is red, the double bedroom green and the single bedroom blue. All suites have a view over the harbor, Old Town and Royal Palace. They can be tailored to the wishes and requirements of our guests. There are many possibilities. It is even possible to book a whole floor of the Grand Hôtel.

The rooms have been designed by one of Sweden’s leading architects offices, White Arkitekter, and has an international atmosphere, making them an excellent complement to the more classical rooms at the hotel.
Vinterträdgården Vinterträdgården, the "Winter Garden", is a magnificent indoor space. It is a perfect venue for large conferences and important meetings. Because of its beautiful interior and great sense of space, Vinterträdgården has become many people's favourite part of the Grand Hôtel. It was created by the Grand Hôtel's legendary female hotel manager, Wilhelmina Skogh, and its opening in 1909 was a major event in Stockholm. The room has a capacity for large conferences and has a set stage. The room changes character practically every day, as different events require a different setting. It is a very versatile space, and can be adapted for each new event. Every year, Vinterträdgården plays host to a long row of conferences, company AGMs, meetings and prize ceremonies.
Spegelsalen Spegelsalen, the "Hall of Mirrors", is a magnificent ballroom decorated in gold, white and red. Ever since the opening in 1899, it has been the scene of countless successful conferences and brilliant parties. Spegelsalen was inspired by its namesake, the Galerie des Glaces in Versailles. The room has four large mirror doors on either side, beautiful ceiling paintings and two giant chandeliers with goldcoated arms. Spegelsalen is now regarded as a part of Sweden's cultural heritage. It has no equivalent anywhere else in Sweden.

New York The Grand Hôtel's new, especially designed conference room New York is one of the four larger and modern conference rooms. New York constitutes a modern complement to the other available and classical premises at the Grand Hôtel. White Architects have been in charge of the interior design and furniture of New York. The atmosphere is international, modern and exclusive. The design and the furniture answers to various demands and needs for a modern meeting room. The theme is pleasant gold and stylised. In order to maximise the flow of light, there is a glass roof which can be altered when the room needs to be dark. Just like all the other conference rooms in Burmanska Palatset, New York is named after Vicke Andrén's ceiling paintings in Spegelsalen. New York has been equipped with LCD projectors, documentary cameras, a sound system with clip-on microphones and microphones connected to a rostrum, as well as wireless Internet. If there are any further requests for PC equipment or the sound system, we will always do our outmost to answer to the requirements of our guests.

It was opened together with the rest of the Grand Hôtel Royal, the brainchild of Wilhelmina Skogh, who was hotel manager at the time. Strömsalongerna Strömsalongerna is adjacent to Spegelsalen. The suite of rooms was built in the mid-1920s to create a more elegant entrance to Spegelsalen. Here, conference vistiors can meet and mingle in a more intimate environment before the main presentation, after which two large sliding doors are opened to reveal the magnificent Spegelsalen below. Finishing a meeting or banquet with coffee or drinks in Strömsalongerna is also a good idea. Strömsalongerna's strict classicism and minimalist style contrast with the opulent grandeur of Spegelsalen, but together they form a fantastic entertainment space that is ideal for any type of large event.
