ARCOTEL is an Austrian hotel company owned by the Wimmer family, with 4-star hotels in four European countries: 5 hotels in Austria, 1 hotel in Prague, 1 hotel in Berlin, 1 hotel in Hamburg as well as 1 hotel in Zagreb. The grand opening of our new hotel in Stuttgart will take place in January 2008. Further, in spring 2009 a second hotel in Berlin will open.

A life philosophy The ARCOTEL Group, as it stands today, is the result of the business acumen, commitment, creativity and visions of Raimund D. Wimmer. Raimund D. Wimmer (1956-2006), who graduated from the Klessheim Tourism School, not only was the founder of the hotel group, but also developed the strategic orientation of ARCOTEL that has been successful for more than ten years now. Moreover, he started to apply the innovative approach of shaping the present on the basis of the future (H. Kahn) to the hotel industry. In particular, he was characterised by his foresight.
Mr. Wimmer, who was extremely committed to tourism, also held numerous outstanding functions in the course of time: from 1987 on, he was vice-president of the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association (USA), vice-president of the Round Table Conference Hotels and, recently, a member of the Executive Committee of the Austrian National Tourist Office, headed the Viennese Chapter of the Austrian Hotel Association, served on the Board of the Austrian Convention Bureau, was a member of the Strategy Group of the Viennese Tourism Association and taught quality management in tourism and controlling at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
Artist accents By co-operating with the award-winning Austrian architect and designer Prof. Harald Schreiber, ARCOTEL has succeeded in giving a personal touch to all its hotels. Harald Schreiber’s style is characterised by designs that guarantee both a cosy atmosphere and high functionality.
Moreover, ARCOTEL actively focuses on arts and culture both internationally and locally. In addition to top-modern standards, competent and friendly staff as well as excellent food and beverage, each hotel enters into a “dialogue” with its guests and offers them an innovative approach to local arts and culture.

Construction works started at the Postdörfle or, to be more precise, at Heilbronner Strasse already last year. The 4-storey building will impress you by its combination of history and modernity. The façades of the historical bathing houses have been preserved so that a 168-room hotel meeting highest demands is evolving in a building compound protected as an architectural monument.

Room overview The 168 rooms and suites bear the stamp of the Austrian artist Harald Schreiber. Inspired by the Way of St. James or “Camino de Santiago” in Spanish that gave ARCOTEL Camino its name, he designed cosy rooms characterised by natural materials with warm earth colours combined with state-of-the-art technologies.
History meets modernity, sandstone meets natural-coloured leather and dark wood. These contrasts, as it were, reflect the main theme “way” — the old Way of St. James and the new way into the 21st century.

38 double rooms, 1 twin room, 5 Grand Lit, 20 single rooms, 1 junior suite, 7 executive rooms (double and single) and 1 romantic room are equipped with modern technology and charming accessories and offer an amicable comfort and great functionality. 14 rooms on the fifth floor include an air-conditioner.

With a combination of Swabian and Austrian cuisine, the chef creates special culinary treats that will delight you by their lightness, creativity and modern presentation. Of course, the menu of the WEISSENHOF restaurant also includes classics, such as the original Viennese schnitzel or the traditional Swabian roast.
