The Grand Hotel San Marino has 63 comfortable, cosy rooms. MONTEBELLO From Verucchio following the Marecchia river, once navigable, you can reach Montebello. A very small medieval town where you can find three excellent restaurants and an excellent selection of wines in the tower of the Azzurina's castle.
SAN LEO A wonderful medieval town in the heart of Montefeltro, where you can browse local handicrafts and visit antique shops. Jazz concerts take place throughout the month of August. In the Malatesta castle you can visit the cell, where the famous heretic and alchemist Count Cagliostro, was imprisoned until his death.
RAVENNA Ravenna is a city of art, culture and mosaics. An ancient city that over a period of 1500 years became the capital on three occasions. The beauty of the mosaics and harmony of the architecture are outstanding. In Ravenna you can stroll among bell-towers and monastic cloisters, the frescoes in the Giotto style of Santa Chiara, and the baroque apse of sant'Apollinare Nuovo. URBINO Arriving in Urbino you can see the Palazzo Ducale and the ancient town, seat of the oldest university in Italy. Urbino is the capital of the Montefeltro dynasty, rival of the Malatesta and native land of the duke Federico d'Urbino, the most famous personality of the late Middle Ages. The town is the birthplace of a famous painter: Rafaello Sanzio and you can visit his house. The Palazzo Ducale contains masterpieces of Rafaello, Tiziano and Piero della Francesca.
