Boom Chicago is an Amsterdam institution. For twelve years, they've mixed good writing, quick thinking and high production values to create sharp, funny shows. Every night of the week, Boom Chicago presents an English-language comedy show which is invariably hilarious. The shows are a mixture of scripted material and improvisation or 'theatre-sports' games. The actors are professional comedians, recruited from the United States and brought out to Amsterdam. The material is mostly topical and somewhat controversial but also includes an amusing look at the Amsterdam experience from a foreigner's perspective.

Boom Chicago is housed in the historic and superbly situated Leidseplein Theatre. A night at Boom can include a good meal in the theatre restaurant and/or drinks in the friendly front bar and lounge. The audience sits at tables and drinks are served throughout the show. Eating is optional and recommended.

In 2008 the Keukenhof is open between the 20 March 2008 and the 18 May 2008. Every spring Keukenhof is a feast for the eye.
Millions of tulips and other bulb flowers are then in bloom. A fantastic experience for people of all ages and a wonderful spectacle to photograph! An overwhelming display of colour in a beautiful setting covering an area of 32 hectares that incorporates elements of traditional and modern landscape gardening. The flower shows in the pavilions are unique. Part of the park has been redesigned for 2005. Surprising and inspiring, brimming with ideas, trends and features that you can apply in your own garden.

The Amstel Botel has 4 types of rooms each with 2 kinds of views. You can choose for rooms with a canalview or a landview. By chosing the canalview you have  the best view over the Amsterdam Canals you could wish. The rooms with the landview have the same comfort we offer you in the canalview rooms.
