101 hotel is a boutique hotel and a member of Design hotels, situated in the heart of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. The luxury design hotel is the creation of owner and designer Ingibjörg S. Pálmadóttir, a graduate from Parsons School of Design in New York. The hotel features 38 spacious rooms, including 5 suites / jr. suites. with in-room amenities providing all the modern comfort you need. All rooms are double bed - there are no twin beds. A luxurious basement gym and spa featuring a steam bath and jacuzzi allows you to completely unwind and relax. On the ground floor the 101 bar and restaurant offer an effortless combination of contemporary Icelandic and international cuisine. 101 hotel is appreciative of contemporary art with an ever-growing collection. Ms. Palmadottir has also opened the nearby 101 gallery. 101 hotel is located adjacent to the opera and opposite the national theatre and the culture house. It is surrounded by many galleries, museums, clubs and cafes.
Food and Drink at 101 hotel The hotel's beating heart is the casual restaurant and the narrow bar with high walls and a glass ceiling where hamburgers with cheese and fashionable dishes sit side by side on the menu and all for a really reasonable price. The restaurant is one of the trendiest places in town and serves delicious food, featuring a combination of modern Icelandic and international cuisine, with Indian influences.The kitchen is open from 7 am until 11 pm. Breakfast is served from 7am until 10:30 am and until 11 am on weekends. Breakfast is not included in the room rates. The bar is open until midnight on weekdays and 1 am on weekends.
The hotel features 38 spacious rooms; Standard, Double, Double de Luxe, Double de Luxe Balcony, Junior Suite, Junior Suite Balcony and Apartment Suite. All rooms are equipped with one bed, king or queen size and a big walk-in shower. In addition de Luxe rooms & Suites have bath tubs. All rooms have access to a high-speed internet connection, free of charge. Breakfast is not included.
